Unemployment in Pakistan.... Increasing day by day

 

Pakistan is currently facing a huge challenge of high unemployment rate, which is rising significantly. According to the latest report released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the current rate in Pakistan is 6.7%. This indicates that more than 9 million people in Pakistan are without jobs and it’s on the rise due to population growth, decelerating economic growth, lack of skilled labor, inadequate infrastructure and technology and so on.

To overcome this problem:

In order to reduce the growing problem of unemployment in Pakistan, it is essential for the government to take initiatives and implement new policies that could help create more jobs. Firstly, measures should be taken to boost investments and spur economic growth. This would increase job opportunities as more businesses would come up in the country and they would need people to work for them. Additionally, adequate infrastructure should be created in order to make sure businesses can function effectively. Furthermore, focus should be placed on improving technical skills amongst individuals so they are able to take advantage of any available employment opportunities.

What government steps can be taken:

The government can introduce incentive schemes like subsidized loans and tax cuts for entrepreneurs who wish to invest in setting up businesses. Moreover, financial support can also be provided to existing business owners in order to improve their operations and provide better employment opportunities. The government also needs to improve infrastructure, modernize labor markets, foster research and development projects, implement skill development initiatives such as vocational training programs and prioritize access to education and healthcare services to tackle this issue effectively.
